Work colleague helps again!

I’m delivering training sessions to managers via video conferencing every afternoon this week.... George decided he would help ?

I started yesterday with my favourite group of managers who were most amused by the presentation “and we are here today to talk about absence management.... shut UP George, and come here!”

Luckily he was quiet today ?

I had a 2 hour Teams meeting today (shoot me now!) Zak decided he would join in by popping his front paws on my knee to see who I was talking to. Lots of whining, then he lay by my feet for the duration to protect me.

I suspect I might get more people to attend my training courses if I had your assistant ?

And what do you mean absence management isn’t scintillating? I spend about 50% of my time on it at the moment ...

I presume that the majority of the other persons participating in these video conferences, views George, and other four-legged extra colleagues, as a bonus that brightens up their day.

If I'm wrong, they have bad taste.

The labs wanted to climb up me this morning while I was in a Teams meeting, then refused to look at the screen, or even come near the lap top, when my colleagues wanted to look at them!

I had a job interview today. When it started both dogs were happily asleep in their basket - half way through the interview they both woke up - loudly!!!!! Cue, me shouting "shut up" whilst still trying to maintain a professional exterior.

My new boss said ‘Hello Zak’ and he was all HMV head cocked on the side doing his cute thing, whining. He’s being incredibly cute currently.

My 3 are largely disinterested in me working from home, I think they are a bit miffed actually.. However I did have to have 5 attempts at recording a new voicemail message the other day "" Thank you for calling ***********, woof" In the end I sent them outside!!

I did one video conferencing job interview - including a 10 minute presentation and questions afterwards - with Millie lurcher bouncing around the house like a lunatic, flapping her ears like only a lurcher/greyhound can ??? i was so wanting to laugh, I managed not to - amazingly she didn’t bark though, and the other three stayed asleep ?

We have been doing configuration workshops for a new system during lock down - all day meetings on Teams - 9-3.30 pm, 3-4 days a week! Both dogs have made regular appearances on screen (all the participants know their names now) - one of my colleagues has his cat making an appearance and quite a few children pop up! It's much more fun than being stuck in a meeting room for 6 hours.

Hexx you have my commiserations and admiration for Teams meetings of that length!!! I think the dogs/cats/children are essential to well being in that sort of meeting ??
