After my placement falling through I've re-considered what I'd like to do with my work experience - go to a yard and help there for the 2 weeks. I'd love to go to a competition yard and help out not just around the yard but also at competitions as I think it could help my understanding of the sport (eventing is what I'm interested in). The dates are 13th-23rd of May and I am happy to travel a bit (I'm based in Surrey but would happily go elsewhere providing I can get myself there - ie. public transport links) providing I could be accomodated somewhere or there is somewhere I could stay (hotel etc) within walking distance. I am an eager learner although quite quiet and will happily take on any chores given to me. I've been riding since about 7 and I'm now 15 so I'd like to think I kinda (

) know my stuff. The only stipulations my school has put on my placement is that they have public liability cover and I'd be working with more than 1 person for personal safety reasons.

Was just wondering if anyone here would be willing to take me or if anyone knows of a yard that would.

Thanks

Well the obvious one would be Pippa Funnell!!! I know she tries to take on as many experienced work experience students as possible (she will therefore have public liability cover.) The only problem could be that you may be slightly late - I can only presume places with her go like goldust. If you want the number of her PA, pm me!

i went to the stables at somerly and it coinsided with there big event there so had a great time going down there and watching, helping etc! other the pippa funnel as mentioned above i dont no what else to suggest!
