work experience times?

I'm starting work experience at a polo stud tomorrow, unfortunately have not been able to get through to owner re time I need to arrive, so I was thinking 8am??

I have a placement in a few weeks time at an eventing yard and they want me in for 9, but I don't want to assume 9 for this one and then get told that I was late..

Is that a good idea?
