Where are you doing yours? We're doing ours next May, as a school thingie, and I went for a trial day today at an eventing yard!

OMG

I have never worked so hard in my LIFE

It was great fun though, and they said I'm welcome to stay over for a week in may, and maybe even ride the gorgeous posh eventing horses

So, I just wanted to know if anyone's doing school, or proper work experience any time soon?

In other news, we rode Jayjay to the vets because he had what looked like an allergic reaction to fly bites, little puss swellings, one was bleeding so I suppose they're itchy (his field has a foresty bit in it, so there are quite a lot of flies in it, but do you have any idea of what it might be?) and they said he might have a fungal infection, and he might have ringworm, or, he might just be reacting to flies. No-one in his field has any unusual symptoms. The point is, he's now in a quarantine paddock, which has the most gorgeous grass I've ever seen! But he's allready MASSSIVE after a week of while we had hols, so he needs a muzzle!

Can any of you reccomend one?

Shires do a grazing muzzle which is supposed to be quite good.I have heard of a few people saying that muzzles can rub though so it may pay you to sew a couple of sheepskin patches to either side first.

Jayjays bites might be Tics. My horse gets little pus reactions to each one when he got bitten. see if you can see any Tics on him, check his heals, face and his armpits and also inside the pus swellings.
