Work on antibiotics...

My welsh cob gelding has a golf ball sized lump between his jaw bones (it's rock hard & painful) he's on antibiotics and bute til this friday. I havent' ridden him for a week as he's been quite low. Would you ride/lunge on antibiotics/bute?

Also...any ideas what the lump is?

No. I wouldn't. I'd walk out in hand for a graze, if he's stabled as often as i could every day, to keep him cheerful.
Swollen glands, abcess?
