Hello,

I've got a lightweight cob type who we've been meaning to show in working cob classes but havent got around to it. I am considering showing him in a few working cob classes as he jumps well. I've shown him in coloured classes quite well but he has a mane (He was hogged when we got him) and i dont want to hog him so how much would i get marked down for him being plaited?

Also how high are the jumps in the classes? We did a few seasons of 1m but i havent jumped much above 2ft6 last year.

Here he is:
(Sorry this is a video still but very recent!)

If you want to show him at county level as a working cob he will have to be hogged.

There is nothing to stop you doing WHP at local shows though, check the schedule but usually they are done on height of horse rather than type/breed.
