Hey, I posted a while back with a request for a grass livery yard in Liverpool. However, I cannot find anything convenient. I'm reduced to searching for my second choice - somewhere that offers working livery, but also grass livery... in Sheffield.

Grass livery is important; both geldings live out all year and I cannot afford the stabling easily... they don't really get along with stables, anyway!

Working livery would be perfect for my horse, 15ish hands. If I keep the boys in Sheffield, I will only be able to come up 1-3 times a week in term time, but I'll be hard to get rid of in the holidays when I'm not on placement!

If you know anywhere that would offer working/grass livery, please let me know! I have tried Grenoside Equestrian Center but they don't do grass D: Shame because the hacking is top notch.

I don't think you'll find working and grass livery in the same package in Sheffield, not in the winter anyway. Do you know Sheffield at all, and is it the Grenoside area you are wanting? Just wondering where to suggest you look.

I live in Sheffield, hence the choice of Sheffield ^_^;; Liverpool is where I'm going to Uni for vet med. My horses used to live with me on my farm when I got them but then I moved. They have always lived out. I bought my horse from Killamarsh, where he lived out, and so has been living out since at least the age of three.

I guess the grass livery bit is more important. Working would have been a bonus that I guess doesn't exist =/ I will take pretty much any area, I'm flexible.

Not sure how far Killamarsh is from you? If not far I may know of some grass possibly working livery places in the surrounding area, pm me if you want more info about yards in that area. :)

Killamarsh is a bit far out but I will consider it.

I'm thinking I could go for just grass livery as long as I can get him exercised at least twice during the week by staff for half hour each. He's having a problem with weight gain due to an impromptu month off and I don't want to give him more time off than necessary!

So anyone know any livery yards that actually offer grass livery? Working not required!
