A show cane deffo, It's best to have a cane in any type of showing class but what i have seen sometimes is people take both a cane and a whip into the class, drop the whip into there boot or onto the floor and used the cane for the show, and then swap round and use the whip for the jumping.

You cannot go into the ring with 2 whips, take the jumping one in if you think you may need it, then if there is time which usually there is, unless you are being judged by 2 judges in a split ring, swap to your cane then. But it really does not matter too much, you are better off with the one that may help you jump clear rather than a useless cane, it should not be counted in the marks given.

Show cane but if you have a horse not off the leg take a smart whip in, unless you have time to change and NEVER hit a horse with a cane (I have witnessed some who have so just putting it out there)
