Im really unsure with working hunters and plaiting

So i have a native pony with full main and tail and im doing a workers in an under 15hh class so do i need to plait her or leave it full but neat?

Shes the bay jumping the wall and the log, hehe she has a major pop shes 13.1hh and we jump 3'6'' classes. I may be plaiting well into the night then lol her mane is close to a foot now may need to shorten it :P

If she was a purebred native that you were also competing in M&M classes I would leave her hairy. But as she is a part-bred I would think it would be more correct to plait.

Part bred Welsh always seem to be shown plaited rather than natural, and isn't it acceptable to show New Forest plaited even in an M&M class? (Is this the case, or did I imagine it, does anyone know?)

NF's are never plaited.

It depends on the show thiugh-If it is local and only has the one class unplaitted would be fine if you tell them she is native

If they have a M+M class you can't do as she is PB then I think you must plait.

You have to pull and plait part breds I'm afraid. The non plaiting rule doesn't apply to them. They have to be plaited even in part bred classes.

yup should be plaited as part bred.

I do normal and M+M workers on Frank and never plait because he is pure so would be incorrect turnout. I only do the normals too because often the M+M is very small locally so would much rather do open WHP and have something to jump.

You should plait really as she is part bred but if she looks like a pure bred you might be able to get away with saying she is a NF as a local show would not tend to require evidence of breeding.

Hehe thanks guys, She won her class with an unplaited mane against some horses who i thought where a better stamp of a WHP than her :S Who knows what the judges where looking for the only reason i took her in was to see if shed behave :P
