I am looking into studying at Writtle College and would like to do a work based horse care course. I am trying to find a work placement and I am really struggling. I am 17 and have done work experience at yards and own a horse myself. I would like to try something new and not just work on a livery yard as I would like to open up my opportunities.
I am thinking of either working with young horses or troubled horses but I am open to ideas. I currently live in Chingford and will be able to drive soon so I dont mind travelling but would prefer to be close to home i.e. Essex.
I am really keen to do this course and I am currently in an office job which doesnt suit me!! Open to any advice and if anyone knows of anywhere looking for a working pupil let me know.
