So Obie and I have been going to Working Trials training for a couple of months. He's not bad at tracking, search squares are the best thing ever(!), control is getting there (as long as there are no pheasants/rabbits/hares around) and then we have the agility section. Now he isn't the typical Trials dog and gets dwarfed by Labs, Flatcoats, GSDs etc but we try- lord do we try!

So clear jump- full height for him, no problem

Long jump- dead easy

Scale??? Not on your nelly!

This scale was approx. 20". The clear jump he did fine was 16" He jumps on my bed no problem which is 25". Little wimp! :)

Thanks. He's cute and stubborn. We'll get there eventually, silly thing is that if he really wants to get somewhere that requires a scramble over it he'll do it. Doesn't seem to have a problem with a dwarf wall in parents back garden if he's playing with their cats and chasing them over it. :)

Thanks Clodagh, the trainer and the other people that go make it a really enjoyable day (despite the rain and howling wind). Even if we never get to the stage of competing, I'm finding the training useful anyway. We do agility and Rally too so it's all sort of intertwined. He was knackered after Sunday, slept all evening and night and only really seemed back to being bouncy and annoying yesterday afternoon. Only problem I've got is that he now brings me everything he finds and wants a reward for doing it. Even if it's half a dead mouse. :)
