Working with horses - Insurance

Whats the deal on insurance when you work with horses?

I mean, is it up to you or the employer to make sure you are insured?

If you are employed by someone they should have a liabilty insurance - this becomes a little vague if you are just helping someone . Not a bad idea to take out additional insurance wish I had as spent a long time recovering from an accident .
Check your contract of employment .
