I tend to do worm counts for my mare, find it more reliable etc.
Anyway this time I said I'd send off for another livery's results with mine, as his owner doesn't really 'get' them.
I got the results - mine was clear and the other was 1200 strongyle eggs.

Obviously I will tell him and let him know he needs to worm etc, but my mare and two others have now moved into the paddock his pony has been in since may last year. Should I be concerned/raise it with YO?

Well yours may get worms but if you are doing regulate checks then It shouldn't be a problem. TBH though worm egg counts are not entirely accurate, you are only selecting and testing a small amount of poo which may through chance have little or lots of eggs, they also only test for a few species of worms. You would still need to worm twice a year for tapeworm, bots and encysted red worms.

This above - I have recently got worm egg counts done too. I am going to worm with Eqvalan Duo as this covers a wide range of the worm species and including Tapeworm. Its all a bit of a minefield with the different products.

Well I follow a plan so I still worm but she has consistently clear results, as do all other horses at the livery.
With regards to the field - is it best to rest it?
