Can anyone recommend the best company/product to do a worm count test? What types of worm are counted, do I need different tests for different worms?
Thanks!

Westgate Labs. You can order kits from their website or most tack shops and feed stores sell the kits.

Until recently I would also have recommended Abbey Diagnostics but I had a very bad experience with them the last time I used them. Emailed them querying why I was still waiting for my results 10 days after they'd received the samples. No reply. Called them the next day and was assured I would receive my results by close of business. Nope. So I emailed them that evening and asked them to cancel both my order and my request for further sample kits. Cue a rude email and no fewer than 11!! calls from the owner of the company (the calls eventually stopped just before 10 pm). Incredibly slow, rude and unprofessional 'service' IMO. And their website is pants.:D

FECs count redworm, although not encysted redworm larvae. They can also pick up other nasties eg tapeworm eggs sometimes but if you're worried about tapeworm, you really need to have your vet take a blood sample.
