Right also need advice. Neds move to new yard mid May.

They were wormed mid April with Equimax and kept in for 48 hours before going onto pasture that had been rested for several months but intensively grazed previously. In fact most of their grazing has been grazed pretty intensively as of late!

Anyway, new field's been empty since last autumn and well managed by the look of it. I don't want to fill it with parasites and only my two will be on it from now on, I intend to poo pick and worm count regularly.

So what, if anything do I use when I move? Do I get a count done just before I move? Hmm what to do suggestions please, may ask vet anyway but can't wait til then!

I wold do a worm count a week before you go then worm a few days before so they are clean by the time they get onto their new grazing. The cheapest place I know of for worm counts is Abbey Diagnostics, athough possibly your vet might be cheaper, but they aren't usually.

abbey diagnostics is £6.50 a test. i have found them to offer a very quick service,l ast time i sent my sample on the friday by saturday afternoon i had an email with the results

Worm counts from Westgate Labs 4count kits cost £7.25 each including vat. For that you get the full service, a helpful record card and any follow up advice you may need on worming from friendly SQP's (Suitably qualified persons).

Maybe you can find something slightly cheaper, but Westgate offer good value I think for an award winning service (2005), based on ten years experience and thousands of happy customers.
