Dont know how much you all pay for worm counts but ive just found a good site that does them for £6. You ring/email for a free kit then its £6 for the test. I have not sent sample off yet but they do the test as soon as sample is recieved and you get results same day.

Im not sure if I am allowed to post site on here or if it would be classed as advertising, just thought it was cheap as they are usually about a tenner. PM me for details.

Or if anyone knows if im allowed to post site on here let me know

Im going to put a notice up at my yard with details of the site and phone number and see if I can get everyone to order one. It really annoys me as half the people dont worm, all horses turned out together and those that do worm dont do worm counts

For £6 they would be silly not to bother!

Doesn't your YO insist on it?

Previous yard we had a very strict regime. YO bought the wormers and delivered them in person to each horse owner.

'My' yard is on a reduced worming regime and they didn't want to join in when I ordered Jazz worm count kit last year.
I only moved here oh about 4 months ago and wormed Jazz 48 hours before I arrived. I am keeping 'up to date' with her programme although the other owner and YM had a little chat with me to see if I would go onto their worming programme which is every 6-12 months. We do poo pick every day and I'm not knocking their way, just not for me at the mo !!

Nope, one lady set up a worm programme but only about 20 out of the 40-50 horses join in, rest worm when they feel like it or never at all. I am looking into moving yards but in my area we are over populated with horses so all the good yards have really long waiting lists, and there are a few cases of strangles in the area atm so moving yards isnt an option for a few months at least

I hoping to try draw as many peoples attention on my yard towards worm count programmes as it really concerns me that some of the horses could be totally worm infested and the owners are none the wiser
