hi had a real prob with my colt regarding pin worms has had all he is allowed now as far as worming goes so vet told me to pick up a wormer from them and stick it up his bum today at 2.30 i did this having to put him in a cow crusher for saftey. he is now in his stable sweating up i phoned vets up as im concernd they just said keep an eye on him incase he does colic but seems as hes tucking into his hay happily theres no need for the vet to intervene right now hes doing normal poos apart from the pin worms coming out first poo bit sloppy around 30 pin worms 2nd poo normal with around 1 pin worms and another poo with around 15 in i have given him another bucket of fresh water in as hes drinken half his bucket. he seems fine in him self just sweaty and very loud stomach growls he lives at my home so keep going to check on him to make sure hes ok i feel so sorry for the poor chap as he arrived with this worm burden and covered in lice iv only had him 6 weeks and spent loads on treatments just hope he doesnt colic

i hate it when my horses show any sighns of being unwell i panic il never sleep im checking him every hour trouble is they want to repeat the wormer up his bum in 2 weeks im thinking am i treading on thin ice as i think he is showing enough sighns of future colic but the worms need to be treated asap as hes so ribby. dnt no how much more money i can put at him as he has just about emptied my bank account with o many vet visits and treatments in the space of just 6 weeks

Hi, He's obviously having a bit of a reaction, suggest you keep an eye on him there should be loads more worms to come out. Gurgly tum is a good thing, happy to eat is also a good thing. Keep checking him and he should be fine. Not sure where you are but its quite warm out tonight (here anyway and my old gelding with a full coat is a little sweaty)

Good luck, let us know how he is in the morning.

will let you all no how he is doing just been out for 9.00 check on him hes still munching away belly still growling very loud he keeps looking at his stomach but think hes woundering more were the noise is coming from as he isnt pulling himself in. do you think he should go in his field as normal 2moz to have a walk round i can still check on him in field as im in all day or would he be best in stable. to be honnest dont think there will be much more coming out as wormer went in bum then 10 min later he had done a poo vet said b4 i gave it him it will need repeating in 2 weeks or earlier if i see any live worms in his poo in next few days but think i will speak to vet about repeating so soon due to his reaction also could he be reacting like this because of wormers he has already had he had on the 6th dec 1\3 equest wormer then at end of dec he had full tube of equest pramox would it react with all this wormer

Good to hear he's still looking bright, hope he's still pooing as normal. I"d keep him to as normal routine as normal. Good luck xx
