One of our labs sicks up the wormer everytime its given to her. Actually they are both a bit sensitve too it as it gives the other the runs.

(they) She had the wormer followed by dinner and they were put to bed around four hours after. I got up to doggie sick this morning and she was sick again after breakfast.

They must have known the wormer was in the sick as no one ate it up... which they normally do the disgusting mongrels

Im guessing i need to worm again but the problem i have is we are not sure who did it since we never saw... we have a hunch but no concrete idea.

The last time we wormed we gave one tab per day for three days and that seemed to work although this is apparently not advised and we forgot... so what the heck do we do now?

Thanks

We have tried all the generic brands you can buy and she has been wormed by the vets before and also sicked that up.

healthy dog otherwise though. not showing any signs of worms but we keep to a regular schedule just because they are out and about with me

Working emergency shift we don't usually worm or flea as emergency treatment during the night

but I often read up when im bored or read the spot on boxes

, im sure some wormers have ingredients that actually are more likely to cause vomiting.
Some direct to starve before worming to lessen vomit some direct to give with food, there is also injectable wormer(not sure exacly whats covered) would have to ask vet and ask what they stock there are also spot on's that cover worms, but again I always give mine a drontal wormer between 6-12months even when using the spot on, jsut to give a good clear out

Which wormer do you use?

Worming would appear to upset both my dogs and cats, but normally with loose poops, not sickness.

I'm sure it's not that uncommon though. I use Milbemax from my vet.

Thanks guys. we have tried all the tricks. the starving, the feeding

etc. i think we will just go back to doing it over three days. Since that doesnt upset her.

We used (this time) the bob martin one. dont ask how i know since i had thrown the boxes away.

Not sure how true it is, but I always opt for veterinary supplied wormer as I tend to follow the argument that anything we can buy over the counter *might* not be as effective anyway.

I persoanlly would not touch bob martin products if they where the only ones on offer....we treat alot of emergency cases from the end result of using bob martin, although more ommonly the flea treatments

I would def agree with Patches.......Get them from the vet!

Its the first time we had tried the bob martin... although i cant remember which we had used before that, time before that was the vets.

will get one from the vet next time.

Agree with Cayla about Bob Martin, the flea stuff made my Yorkie very ill. He is also ill with Drontal wormer but tolerates Milbemax - have you tried that one?
