my new lad arrives on sunday. his last owner said he was wormed middle of july. should i worm him when he arrives and then just worm according to the others he will be turned out with ? hope this makes sense, worming confuses me

If he was mine I would worm before being turned out with others, and then worm at the same time with the same wormer as the others. Or alternativly (sp) do a worm count which means he will be in until you get the results but they are very quick, give them a call.

I am no expert though about wormer but would not want to introduce worms from a new horse.

okay thanks for the advice, hes only 3 so want to make sure i get it right.

I would do the same as Janah, as soon as it was on the yard it would get a wormer and kept in overnight to see what if anything appears.
