Worming Advice

For the first time this year I have worm counted & horses haven't needed worming. If I remember rightly the worm count doesn't show tapeworm which I still need to worm for? Looking at a worming website it says April & November for tapeworm and I didn't worm in April. Should I do a tapeworm sooner than November bearing in mind I didn't do in April. Is there anything else I need to worm for that doesn't show up on worm count. I haven't relied on worm counts before so I'm a bit confused this year. Thank you.

I would worm now for Tape worm if you didn't do in in the Spring or get a Blood test done. You will also need to worm for encrysted (sp?) worms.

i'd ask your vet, tbh. i had worm counts and blood worm counts done, and definitely got tapeworm numbers back.

Why not ask the person who did your worm count? Advice afterwards is all part of the service.

Ditto to piebalds post, i would worm for tapeworm now, i just have, always do from September onwards, and again in April.
