Worming foals

Foal is 2 months old and needs worming I keep reading all different things as to what to worm her with can anyone help me out please?
Every website says something different!

Best plan would be to contact your vet who would give you sound information. I remember a couple of years ago that I wormed my mare and foal with a particular wormer and was told by a neighbour that the foal would die as a result. I had a few very sleepless nights! Luckily they were wrong...

There are a number of website which have information - not sure allowed to put up a link but look up wormers direct uk. It has a list of wormers which tells you what is safe for what age of foal (and lactating/ in foal mares). Nothing to do with me, only planning my own worming programme for next few years as i write (allowing for foal this year, and want my two horses to be on the same).

I had bought equimax; was going to use it, advised by someone more knowledgable than me not to. He used something else (Telmin) as it would be "milder" but according to this list, my own product would have been more suitable for his age at the time (4 weeks). My advice: do your own research and take advice from others with pinch of salt. If need be phone vet for advice or contact the manufacturer. As I gave mare equimax, will probably continue for all 3 horses till winter/next spring.

I may be about to post myself as the finding conflicting information on the whole encysted redworm, tapeworm and bots thing in autumn/winter/spring. Not sure if foals need tapeworm dosing, either. Vet out in next few weeks...

ok thank you for your help have spoken to some knowledgeable people today who have very nicely helped me out! but it so hard as everyone tells you a differnet idea!
