Worming for tapeworm

I read to worm for tapeworm in Spring. As my horses had Equest 12 wks ago it fitted well to give a pramox now.
So I've bought 4 tubes which isn't cheap! Not given yet but just reading a feature in Horse magazine which states late summer is the time to worm for tapes.
Which is correct?

I always thought oct/nov time and then April.

I had this query in scats a month or so ago, then rang the vet for advice as I was confused!

they both agreed that pramox should be given after the first frost, October time then again jan/feb time. something to do with little bugs in the ground that are what cause tapeworms, which was all new to me after 13 yrs of owning a horse! Id always followed a scats worming plan that said tapeworm in march, so was a bit miffed as to how it had changed!

I thought October ish aswell- well Autumn and spring?! Seems to be slightly conflicting advice everywhere.

Just read a article on a veterinary site also stating spring (erm, if this is spring!)
