Worming horses turned out with cattle

Ok after some advice please

Due to the wet weather, the farmer who we rent grazing from has had to turn out approx 20 young cattle with our 2 horses and a pony. They have plenty of space and everything seems ok but we were due to worm the equines and I don't know if I should go ahead and do this now or wait 'til the cattle have gone (he thinks about 2 weeks)?

Presumably having the extra animals increases the worm risk? I'm not poo picking after 20 head of cattle lol

Cattle & horses carry completely different worms you shoukd be fine to worm your horses while with the cattle.

All ours run with cattle, just ignore them and continue with your worming as normal. Cattle are great running with horses as they eat all the rough dung spots that the horses won't touch and keep the fields clean.

Yes, all the horses seem to have just accepted the cattle although only one has been turned out with them before. The biggest issue at the moment seems to be my ISH, who had a foal 2 years ago, has fallen in love with them all and doesn't want to leave them horses eh!

We will worm them this evening as planned
