My two are coming up to 16 weeks and although are eating well, and the recommended amount, are still looking very lean.
I would like to worm them but am not aware of any formal worming programme via the kennels so am wondering what to use.
Any advice/recommendations please!
Many thanks

Thanks salimali - yes, they have had their vaccs but our hunt are really struggling financially and have asked all walkers to sort out their own worming programmes, and not having had our own puppies for many years now, could not remember the timing intervals.

Sidney, looking at the box it's every 4-6 weeks until approx. 20 weeks and after can be reduced, depending on the situation. this treatment is a reasonable price and effective. i know how hunts have to struggle to keep on top of things- ours is a 2 man band but we raise money when poss. with evenings such as bingo or mouse racing- whatever can be arranged. (we gave up having a commitee years ago- too much in-fighting and hassle!)

Just to add to your question, drontal is far better than panacur. As panacur liquid does not treat tape worm. They should be done once a month after the age of 12weeks until they are 6months old and they are then done every 3 months. Panacur is normally a 3 day course as well.
I hope this helps!

sorry for being so stupid for saying how good panacur is!! we've used it for years on all our hound pups and they're all very healthy- yes, i am aware of the 3 day treatment. considering that Sidney said their hunt was struggling financially i would have thought panacur would have been good enough as Drontal is something like £1.50 a tablet- i was only giving my opinion on something that i knowis reasonable and effective!

Thanks salimali - our fund raising committee sounds very similar!

I didn't doubt panacurs ability. But it doesn't do all the worms. Thats why you pay extra for the drontal. Hound pups need to be treated for tape worm because of the areas they are in! My husband is huntsman to a pack so I do know what I am talking about and I used work at a vets!
