I need to devise a worming programme for my yearling. He had his routine wormer Jan 15th before he came to me but now I'm stuck and confused myself completely after reading so many different articles

! I don't want to pump him full of chemicals so if anyone can suggest a simple effective plan that would be great...anyone who can give me the months and time periods too is a star! Sorry for the dum post but this is becoming a nightmare, Thank you

worming

Be sure to rotate your worming programmes that you use though, to stop resistance. So use that for a few years, then change to another. Can't give much more info though as my friend is clever at this stuff so we do what she says

Hmmm equvalan has a high resistance.
I would contact your local vet and ask for their recomendations.
Equest do a year pack that is quite good.

Dare I suggest you start doing worm counts? Contact Abbey Diagnostics and she will also advise on a worming plan according to your counts. Sorry if I am getting this wrong, but I am assuming you are on your own land, otherwise I would expect the Yard to have a Plan.
Otherwise, I would recommend the Equest/Pramox year pack.

that's not true anymore. it's not recommended to rotate as so many wormers now have resistance. i just stick to equest and equest pramox alternately every 3mths.
