Worming question

Just wondered if anyone knew anything about toxicity of wormers. I've heard they are toxic for miniatures and have just bought a Shetland

. Although I'm sure she's probably okay on the normal wormers I just wanted to check so I don't kill my daughter's pony?!

I never use equest or any moxidectin wormers on my minis, they can kill miniatures.

I use eraquell for normal use, equimax for tapeworm and panacur guard for encysted small redworm but im now using the worm counting method so cutting down on the normal wormers.

Do you know how much your mini weighs??? its important to dose correctly, especially with miniatures

Thanks - I knew I'd heard something so I'm glad I asked! She is arriving on Friday so I will want to do the normal 'new horse on yard' worming routine, although I do normally worm count to cut down on wormer use.
