worming waenlings

I am just about to have my 6 month old colt delivered to me from his breeder in January and i wondered what people's thoughts are on how often i need to worm him. The breeder has said every six weeks at the moment with him being so young.

Also what wormers are safe to use on weanlings?

We usually worm our foals through to yearlings every 4 weeks - generally with Eqvalan.
