ill be honest i havent wormed my old mare for years she seems imune, always done a yearly egg count and shes never had any (she is grazed on my own field and is the only horse on there for 20 years) so im out of practice i moved my other horse a week ago and his droppings went like cow pats so i presumed it was stress of moving and slightly different food (full livery to DIY) but yesterday i found worms in his poo they were just over 1/2 cm long not mush thicker than thread of cotton and an orangey colour obviously im going to worm him at the weekend but im not sure which worms these are and want to make sure i get a suitable wormer for him ?

Probably the safest would be panacur guard 5 day. As one of the all in one wormers may prove to strong for her and cause colic

You will then need to worm for tape worm about 2 weeks later

Not sure if you know but even doing a worm count you still need to worm for insisted red worm and tape worm. These can not be detected in poo samples
