I am buying a new forest pony and the owner of the grazing I am going to rent says that all horses should be wormed on purchase and as soon as he goes on his land he needs to be done is this right? I have checked with the present owner and she advised worming at the beginning of winter as he was done in May.

His land, his rules. Although you could ask him if he'd be happy for you to show him a clear FEC.
