If she was wormed well last time and you have left the correct amount of weeks untill this time, I would not worry about it as they always give you more than you actualy need to allow for spillages!!! Just make sure next time she gets it all!

You shouldn`t be double dosing with Equimax! And also they don`t give you more than you need either, There is a big enough worm resistance problem without this happening. If the 600KG was the double dose then she will be fine. Also this is the wrong time of year for Tapeworms which is i presume the reason you want to double dose or use Equimax as this wormer should be used spring and autum. I would use a wormer such as Eraquell/ Noromectin/Eqvalan/Equest for summer dosing if i was you.

I was told by my vet that under-dosing was the cause of resistance??? Not killing the worms and enabling them to become resistant. Over dosing would be detrimental to the horse (in large enough quantities) but fatal to the worms, therefore no remaining ones to be resistant.

As has been pointed out the dose of 600 should be for a 600kg horse, you would not double it for a 300kg pony and give 600ml (but i dont think this is what has been done by OP)

Unless its got a huge worm burden i would just wait for the next due worming and make sure it gets the lot!!!
