Worms, cats advise please! Slightly urgent

Hello,
Cats were wormed a week ago with panacur 10%, as was winston. Cats vomited i think up an absolutley huge worm, alive i think, last night not sure what it was? Why has the wormer not worked? There is mention of a three day routine in heavily infested animals? Slightly worried that such a big worm has come out of a little cat and really don't want worms all over floor, hibiscrubbed floor hope this has killed egggs or stuff? Can i worm again so soon or shall i use a different wormer?

The wormer has worked - the worm is removed from the cat!

Wait a couple of weeks and then use Milbemax.

Does the cat go out? If so worm monthly, if it is an indoor cat about three times a year should suffice once you've cleared the infestation.

Cheers for the quick advice, it has been about a week should they still be coming out alive? Yeha they are outside cats.
