just a quick question....
I wormed my youngster last night with an ivermectin based wormer. Wasn't really expecting to find anything in his droppings but lo and behold - redworms.
My question is should I worm him again to make sure he is cleared out ?

Not yet and especially not with ivermectin based wormer... read the instructions for the safe worming interval. You could do a worm count in a couple of weeks to see what is going on. http://www.westgatelabs.co.uk/
I'd chat with your vet about a worming programme tbh.

It means its worked. You need to get a health plan drawn up for you by an SQP or vet so that you know when you are worming & what with
