Worms....

Picked the pony up today to find a couple of worms in the poo on the way back (bleugh)! creme/sort of coloured worms....live wrigglers. (one in each poo)

Pony has been wormed with noromectin due to yard request on arrival (as that is what was used, i hope i have the right one )

What to worm with next and when - or wait?? pony was wormed with me previously in august time and i cannot remember for the life of me what i used....wasnt pramox as my other horse coliced on that.

Any advice please? Never dealt with worms before? needless to say pony is in until she worm counts low/clear purely as ive seen the worm in its poop!!!

Hi If they are cream and about 5cm long they could be pin worms, Is your pony itchy? I had this with my mare, I would worm again and do for tapeworm as well. There is a lot in vetting about worms. Hope that helps.

i wormed her just now and nothing has come out (24 hours later..) good thing or bad thing?


shes in anyhow for a few weeks id imagine purely as she has terrible mud fever (not from the new yard just to add...) it was very muddy where shes come from and she has white legs
