I'm not a vet by the way!
Tagamet is used in humans as well (think it may have diff brand name tho), its used for gastric problems like ulcers, bit like zantac that you can buy from the pharmacist. Side effects are quite rare. It'll make the cat feel more comfortable if she's got tummy probs!!
Don't worry and hope that helps a bit??

cheers, exact problem, being sick and eeerrrrmmmm shi**ing through the eye of a needle !!!! basically not a well little girl, she got s jsb aswell but stupid hubby took her and I dont know what it was, some sort of antibiotc.

can you od a cat on the targamet stuff ?

Doubt you can OD on it, it just reduces the amt of acid being produced in the stomach that breaks down the food and also causes ulcers (in some cases)
I really wouldn't worry, its a very basic drug that can be bought in a pharmacy, just follow the vets instructions.
If she did have an antibiotic injection it may be the new one that last for at least 10days, so no more doing battle with pills!!!

they gave her the injection cause they doubted she would cope with the pills.

they have said .5ml 2 times a day, but I think we gave her too little just now, we got confused with the syringe and only gave her .05ml !!! the whole syringe is only 1ml and we got all panicky and gave her too little. will give her the rest in a bit !!!

She also seems sensitive to light aswell, spent all day behingd the sofa against the wall which she NEVER does and lights make her eyes wince.

Never seen her like this.

She is being starved tonight. Last time she ate was 3ish yesterday, but she is not bothered about shouting for food bless her.

as you have guesed I am a panicker. she is my little girl, she has helped me through despression and sooo much more.

sorry about spelling!!

xx

If she's got a sore tummy she probably can't face food. Just give her lots of love and fusses and if you're not happy tomorrow then give the vet a call.
Poor thing, hope she feels better soon

Pop her in a warm, dark and quiet place til she feels better, and she'll probably want food in the morning (if she's allowed it). Animals often just sleep themselves better.
How old is she?

She'll probably be fine...and you've done all you can do. I was constantly worried about my cat as she had a few illnesses...but think in retrospect I may have been overreacting as she is now 19 and fine!
