Hi, I've had a couple of suspicious vehicles hanging around my field in Bromsgrove in the midlands where I keep my two horses. Does anyone know of any other suspicious behavior in this area?? Its got me very worried as I've aready had one horse stolen. Thanks.

are your horses freezemarked??

take pictures of vehicles times reg etc make sure you dont go up at same time get others to do same dont leave any valuables down there at moment

if you can paint my horses are freezemarked and can be identified by police put signs aroundyou can get them from farmkey even if they are freezemarked might deter them

GET THEM FREEZEMARKED biggest present to your horse
take pictures of your entrance ie the ground see if any footprints put a horse hair round the gate see if any one enters over night no one will see it but will break it if they enter

I read somewhere that someone in your position had attached a rape alarm to the gate so that if it was forced they would get quite the shock. May be worth a look

Get your horses freezemarked on their shoulders so that in the event of them being stolen they can be easily identified. Also take a picture of each of your horses from all 4sides (Summer and Winter coat) so that if your horses are stolen you have photographs of them.
Ensure your horses are passported and are listed on www.ned-online with their freeze mark number.
Also that all gates have the hinges reversed so that they can not be lidfted off the hinges and are padlocked with a metal box around the padlock so that it can not be bolt cut off.
Ensure all tack is tack marked with your post code so tat if stolen owner can be identified.
Ensure that all lorries and trailers have their roof's postcoded with large visible lettering.
Report all suspicious vehicles to your local police station and ask for an incident number to esnsure it is logged in to the system.
