Ok so I am worried again!! (What is new
?!)
Owen has been at a new yard for the winter for a few weeks now. All was fine and he settled in great. eating like a pig, drinking like a fish, all as normal.
Come Sunday there is some commotion in this park place across the road which must be about 1000 metres away from the stables. Could not hear all that much noise, a few bangs, but nothing dramatic.Nothing like fireworks or anything which all our horses do not bat an eyelid at.
Since then, despite the noise only lasting that Sunday afternoon, ALL the horses in the yard (5 of them) have been very wound up and tense. They are all box walking and difficult and stroppy to handle which is out of character for all them. Owen has not drunk anything since Sunday nor eaten much hay. He has dropped weight. They are still tense and wound up tonight.
The horses are clearly very unhappy and upset and we can hear nothing going on that is different nor see anything going on that is different.
Really starting to worry me now espec as Owen has not been drinking...
Do not know what to do, it is so unlike him to ever be so upset about something....and it is not just him the other horses as well..
