worrying about my sheepskin tendon boots??

my reading tonight has been about legs overheating and have now worried myself about my (real, expensive) sheepskin tendon and fetlock boots.
Whats everyones thought?
Also, how does everyone gauge the correct tightness of the elastic fastener? eg easily be able to put finger in? or do you put them on loosely and test that they stay up, as dont want to experiment to find ive done them too loose if that makes sense?

doubt unless you are doing high level eventing that they will cause you any issues at all enjoy them
