I was on my way home from the yard on Friday when I was drivning along this dark road and a lady was flagging down all the traffice, I slammed my brakes on and waked the hazzrard lights on only to find that a poor little doggy had been hit by a car and was lying in the road.

Talk about MW to the rescue, I ran down the road, pushing everone out the way, gently picked the dog up and rushed it to the vets, talking to her all the way and praying for her to stay with me me.
Got to the vets and took her in, but it was too late, she had passed away. It was awful, she was the cutest little terrier. The owners came in not longer after me with their little girl who was in bits. They were going to get the ponies in from the field and their dog had chased a rabbit out to the raod. So sad. I tried though, just wish Id have got there sooner!

RIP little doggy. xx

That's awful, but well done you for giving her a chance. I was driving home once along a busy A road (dual carriageway) and someone had obviously stopped in a layby and let their dogs out for the loo but they had run into the path of the traffic. It was a terrible sight. I just can't understand why they wouldn't have made sure they had them under control.

What an awful experience for you (but congrats for having the compassion to stop and help in the first place). I'm sure every dog owner dreads it happening to them (no matter how quiet a road you live on).
Poor people.
