As im.moving outa my livery yard to a field pony needs a companion.

Sooo... I can go down the route of little shetty etc but i thought why not get another ridden as my mum would love to ride (can already) but my boys far too much for her plus bf would love to learn. So looking for a 15.2hh+ mare or gelding thats suitable for a novice & a competent but nervous rider. Only prob is i cant afford to buy so need to loan.

I cant find anything remotely suitable! Do people not loan these types out? Wheres best place to search?
Thankyou :)

Place wanted adverts in your local tack shop, vets, etc. Talk to your farrier and see if they have any other clients looking to loan out a horse.

Are you sure you can afford to look after another horse at the moment? No insult intended, but if you are moving to try and save money then a Shetland might be the more logical option...also probably better if your BF takes lessons at a riding centre first.

Good luck whatever you decide:)

They have several ridden on atm, including a smashing looking 14.3.
Advertise locally and see what is out there. There seem to be more and more up for loan atm.

I know what your saying arizhan. But as i have to pay for another as a companion i thought why not get one ridden... At least id have someone to hack with.
Dont worry bf would have lessons but on the horse

if you are happy with your second horse just being a light hack then loads of horses are advertised for loan as a companion that can be hacked lightly. Would that work for you?
