A 15yr old bay mare ISH. About 16.1hh ish. I'm not advertising her just wondered what people thought.

She isn't an easy ride, never ever nasty, but strong and gets quite whizzy in canter/when jumping. Genuinely enough to scare someone if they didn't know her as the answer is to drop your reins but if you don't know her obviously you won't want to do that. Plus she's a big girl so it feels like she could really tank you. Once you know her you realise she never would. All she does is canter around in a lovely canter and refuse to trot and once you know how to ride her its easy enough to pull her up.

She's a nice looking girl who is super easy from the ground. Great nanny/babysitter and is a hardy old thing. She has a good jump in her but as I say, she gets a bit whizzy. I think she'd be great fun to team chase/hunt but don't know if she's ever tried either. Isn't much keen on schooling although she has been out and done some dressage and some showjumping (about 90cm).

Possibly could have a foal? Don't know if she's had one before but shes a nice type and I think she'd be fairly as her temp really is to die for.

What I'm really asking I suppose is how you'd find someone who could ride enough to try her out. Saying she isn't a novice ride won't neccessarily stop novices coming to try and I would hate to scare anyone or upset the mare.

Sorry that got long.

Well, I think when people phone up about the horse you would have to be very honest and explain exactly why she is not a novice ride. No doubt there would still be someone who might chance their luck anyway, but at least they had been told.
