Hello,
Am considering a business idea of a quad bike powered poo picking machine and wondering whether this would be a good business prospect? Just mullign over a few ideas.
Also how much would people be willing to pay for this service?

YES! Absolutly.

We had a big field, too big to be worth poo picking daily.

We were considering hiring someone in to poo pick every couple of months but never got round to it.

The field was about 10acres and we would have happily paid £50-£70 or so to have it done.

Don't suppose you're in central scotland........?

good idea, i think a lot of people would like this idea.
umm, price-wise, maybe £10 an hour ish, if that was doable?
i've thought for ages of how good a paddock-sprucing-up service would be - spraying or hand-picking all weeds, poo-picking, mending fencing if requd, generally whatever it took to make paddocks look immaculate.

There is some good/bad points to this, have seen a chap doing said thing, think it was on youtube.

What with people being a bit strapped for cash at the moment, then most yards will just poo pick themselves as small enough paddocks and them whome have a few fields and horses are swapped between them giving each field a rest normaly move horses and then run a chain harrow over it all, spreading said muck about and letting grass grow up again.

We wouldnt - no point poo picking if you dont pick it up really soon as the worms get into the grass and they eat it.

Sorry xxxx

I looked for ages for this sort of service, eventually gave up and bought a quad and poo picking machine and did myself.

I would think it would be a good venture. Good luck

It would depend also on how many potential customers you have in your " workable" area. If you only have ...say 6 and they only want you once a month, then it probably isn't worth the outlay. Do the research and get customers on board, before you buy it.
