This will be my first Christmas as a horse owner, I spent years wanting a pony as a child and now I finally have one! When I was a kid all the liveries at my riding school would dress their ponies up with tinsel and reindeer antlers.

Now, I'm 26, the pony is 13.1, he already works a Tigger numnah and a Derby House Pegasus pony rug rather well. Would it be a step to far to source some reindeer antlers for him - the type you could get from Robinsons. No idea if they still do them! I think he's cool enough to pull it off - they'd have to be quite large to be noticable behand his super-fluffy ears!!

:D :D :D

No crueler than us dressing mum and Badger up last year for a Christmas Card!

Why it would be rude not to! And yes, Robinson's still do them - they emailed me about their Xmas ranges just last week. Even at the Halloween show people and ponies, from young to old and 11hh-16hh were all dressed up - so neither age nor size need be a hindrance! Photographs a must however when the time comes ;0)

I am ancient, with a teenage daughter, and we LOVE putting the reindeer antlers on two of our ponies and going for a tinsel ride, we have great fun, and it makes other people smile too.

Do it, and post pics please. :D

I have little fluffly rein/noseband sleeves with jingle bells on them!! Spooked the hell outta a lot of horses warming up at a xmas dressage comp but my horsey doesn't bother!! :-)
