Would it be ok to mix a pup with an older dog??

Hello all

i have a 2 year old spayed english bull terrier who is lovely, i am thinking of getting her a friend.

Would a male or female pup be best? She can be quite dominant. I would ideally like a small breed, frenchbulldog/terrier type. Would this work??

i would go for a male pup especially if your girl is dominant. good luck on finding a pup

A dog will be easiest. I always get a new dog when my youngest dog is 4 of so (means I sometimes have 3 dogs) I use a crate when I'm not there to supervise.

I'm planning to add a pup soon, and my girl is six-years-old.

While ours gets along extremely well with female dogs, she does relish having the upper hand, which is why we're opting for a male. Sounds like your girl would also be happier with a new man in her life.

We have just got a mini schnauzer pup and our older mini is 8 now....

He spent a couple of days asking when she was going home

and then a couple glaring at her..... but now they are good friends.

They even share the same chew sticks
