Ring a chiropractor about a horse checked/treated by someone who previously was careing for the horse, basically just to double check that either everthing was ok or to find out if there was a issues etc?

I'm guessing that if the horse was treated by someone else, then client confidentiality will come into play, or is a bit cheeky?

I have the my own chiropractor for Mack but I'm thinking if the other lady has treated this horse before, it perhaps would make sense to carry on using her on this particular horse.

 hmmmm I duno, suppose the worst they can say is bog off and make an apppointment if want to know anything :D but she wasnt done that long ago, I just like double check things are in order.

I'd imagine you'd need the old owner to ring her 1st to say it is ok to tell you details. Certainly if they do without permission they could land themselves in trouble.

In fact last time my physio was out she mentioned a horse (no names or areas mentioned) that she'd just been to see that is having back problems and she said she knows full well what is wrong with it as it was sent to a vet hosp by previous owners and has problems. Old owner sold it without disclosing anything.... She couldn't tell the new owner that she'd even seen the horse before.

So I imagine the back person would probably tell you they can't without permission.

Yes I see what you mean, I kinda thought that would be the case, I wonder though like you say if it makes any difference if the horse was on loan though, suppose there is no harm in asking, after all its only for the benefit of the horse, its not like I've bought the horse and the circumstances won't change what ever the findings me may, only that she may need to come out more often etc.

Thanks for opinion though :)
