Well basically, I have an 11 year old mare who had a really bad injury a couple of years back - she had premature arthritus in a joint which was just above her hock so the vets were going to fuse it together as it had no movement in it.
However she reacted very badly to it, and ended up at the vets for 2 months and a further 10 months off work. I'm not sure EXACTLY what happened, but I think basically her hock collapsed.
Anyway, she's now back in work and loving it, different vets have said I can do whatever I want with her, so I intend to. However, its left her slightly unlevel behind, and I had a lesson today. My instructor said that when she started working properly, lifting up her back and stuff, she was completly sound. So hopefully with work in the school we can at least eliminate some of the unlevelness (by the way don't get the impression she's obviously lame, she isn't, people rarely notice but she knows and when you look for it you can tell), but I was also wondering if maybe a physio or anything else would help her?
A different forum gave me a lot of grief when they found out I intended to ride her again, so please please don't say that, she's not in any pain, been bute tested and varies vets have seen her and performed tests and just concluded she had a mechanical unsoundness.
Thanks
