I have had to take nearly all the bedding out of my two boys stables this morning as we had alot of rain last night and the stables have leaked.

Would rather have the frosts and snow back rather than the rain or even better summer to come early.

Sorry moan over now.

Nooooo, give me rain anyday! I got so fed up of carrying water buckets, and sliding all over the place. But I feel your pain with the leaking! Roll on Summer!

Hmmmm I am undecided .... sorry about your wet beds though ... the thaw has blown my electrics so no lights, and I am one who likes to see what I am doing, big time

No way! I have just ridden for the first time in a couple of weeks in pouring rain and strong winds but it was great! Sorry you have had floods though, think of Spring.......

I was glad to see the snow gone but at least my stables weren't getting soaked when it snowed
Can't wait til end April/begining May when they can go out at night.

I wish we hadnt had the snow full stop, now its thawed its all leaked into my studio roof all over my equipment and backgrounds. I have bookings starting Monday anyone fancy coming to help fix it! lol

Simple solutions, fix the leaks then the rain won't seem so bad.. I prefer the rain as it means spring is gettign nearer then its.... summer yeah!!

We still have a fair bit of snow with rain on top - so big puddles on an icey bottom crust.
Rest of field is very wet and soggy, but it was nice to see the ponies finding some grass in places when we went out this morning.
Just got a huge amount of previously covered by snow poo to pick, as there were 2 or 3 days where we couldn't find the poo due to fresh snow or chisel off due to it freezing.

If i could fix the leaks myself i really would but don't fancy getting up on the roof of the barn and wouldn't know what to fill the gaps with. YO doesn't seem in any hurry to fix it either.
Summerleft - sorry to hear about your equipment.

I would really rather just have summer already, but given the choice between snow and rain I'd have to go with snow. Now it's rainy, all the fields have become complete bogs and you are at severe risk of losing a welly every time you try to go through the gate.

I'm paranoid about mud fever, Scooby is dirty, and our stables leak too (not much, but enough to be annoying when the stable rugs are all wet).

I don't like the snow and I don't like the rain but I can cope with the frost! Having been able to turn out in the snow, my horses are now confined to barracks as their paddocks are a boggy mess. If we get some wind and sunshine, then it will help to dry up the grass a bit and my horses can go out again.

Yes, roll on summer but I think we've got alot more winter to come yet!

Ooooh No!

Sorry about your stables though....but normal service has been resumed this morning!

Snow has gone, and mud is back. However- there is grass still in the field and horses are out nibbling away. They did stand at the gate waiting for hay until I told em to bugger off and forage for it today lol!

Hopefull it won't rain tomorrow and I can climb on board hurrahh!!!!

Would rather have hot/dry weather, but good luck with that in Scotland...I'd rather the snow had stayed on a bit; it was nice and cushiony and lovely to ride in. However, now that we've got this rain, I hope it washes away all the ice soon.
