I have seen number of posts recently where people are looking for advice on suitable work progrmmes for horses either coming back into work after injury or a break or who are aiming for a specific competition.

I was wondering if there was a market for people to pay a monthly fee to have an individual work programme put together for their horses? My idea would be for them to fill in an initil questionaire with detailed information on themselves, their horse, the facilities they have use of etc and then for weekly programmes to be emailed out. This could perhaps be expanded with the addition of photo's/videos.

I am BHSII, and a qualified Equine Massage therapist and also have a PgDip in Equie Therapy and Rehabilitation with 25yrs experience in the industry so feel I am fairly well qualified to do this.

My questions are, do you think there would be a market for this? if so, what would you be prepared to pay per month?

Thanks for reading, any other comments positive or negative would be welcome and a few volunteers for a trial attempt would be good too!

This sounds like what my husband does with his cycling coach. He has a weekly programme emailed to him and he uploads his data for his coach to analyse. He pays £90 a month for it and his time trial progress has improved considerably. It's slightly different as its all about power and time but I don't see why you can't taylor it maybe with video feedback.

Nice idea though.

I think it would work great for people who really have the will power and facilities/time. As above, a video analysis would be great.

Thanks for the positive comments. Anyone got any ideas as to a good place to advertise? Also, any willing volunteers that I could use as a trial run?
Thanks

Sounds a really good idea and I'd also be happy to volunteer :) Facebook seems quite successful for advertising on the horsey groups and then as it progressed I think magazine adverts would be useful.

I think it sounds like a good idea. Could you include lease of heart rate monitor/speedometers so you can track progress and improvement in fitness levels?

LeannePip and wish upon a star, thanks for volunteering! I am hoping to put a questionairre together this weekend, if you could each pm me with an amil address that would be great.

joulsey, I have a couple of heart rate monitors so thaat is certainly something worth considering for those on fitness programmes

Was just wondering if anything came of this as don't think I received an email/pm after sending my email. Maybe I spelt my name wrong! :)
