Evening one of my show horses has had a flare up of copd currently on ventipulnin and allowed to start working him again at the weeked , is on 4scoops a day currently , hacked out at the weekend not much coughing , did some trot and canter work , coughed a few times but then settled and no problems , however is entered at a county show next week
So my dilemma is do I take
Him or not ? Xx

What will you be doing at the show? If it was just showing and he is fine over this week and the weekend I would say take him. If he's coughing all week i wouldn't go.

If its working hunter or SJ I would probably also not take him.

Hope he recovers quick for u xx

Hi luckily hes just Inhand and no ridden which is a blessing which is why I am more inclined
To take him of it had my Showjumper the. Def a no , I am hoping he will start to settle , the ventipulnin works quite quick
But he's still
Coughing quite a bit he's also on steamed haylage aswell x

See how he goes the rest of the week. I think he'd be fine for an inhand class.

I actually think it may be on the banned substances list... Just a word of warning, just in case. Pretty sure it is for BE, BD and BSJA, following the FEI rulings. So if it was an affiliated show I'd be concerned about your withdrawal times.
