So my stables keeps flooding! Everytime it rains it floods and sometimes I keep Flint in and he is stood in wet, I dont mean a little bit of wetness but I have to take the whole bed of straw out. I have asked for about 2 months now to fix the guttering that is above my stable and flushes the water in. The other day after 4 days of changing beds and replacing it with bedding I have to pay for I moved him to a stable that doesnt flood...finally. Now he has dry feet of a day or night if I do keep him in, I asked for a large bucket 4 days ago (the type off a JCB) so I could empty my flooded stable into it and not make 10 trips to the muck heap 200metres away!! I arrived tonight, still no skip, but a message to say I need to empty the stable tonight as they have a show on tomorrow and they need the stable for a horse that is arriving tonight!!! So I was in a rush to miuck out, feed, hay and all that to pick my friend up from cov train station a good 20 mins away!! So I emptied the stable but was really angry!! It has cost me alot of money and time and they knew about people staying this week but waited until tonight to let me know...even thoughh I saw them yesterday!! Would you be peeved or not??? Feel like i am over reacting but had been up since 6....at work for many hours then came back to this!! some people or YO have no consideration especially if its a comp yard... pssst...dont care if they see it!! Wouldnt keep another horse there again...ever!!

I'd be more than peeved... I'd be packing my things up and be moving asap! I do hope it's a very cheap yard you're on as they don't seem to be meeting even the most basic of your needs ie. a weatherproof stable!

Why do you pay for straw when it is only £1 extra a week, that sounds really good or is it a con?

I would be very peeved

I was thinking this?

It looks lovely on the pics do you get to use any of the arena's or are they very expensive?

Mind you you can't always judge a book by it's cover so that seems to be right in your liveries case. Good luck in your hunt for a better yard.

that is late years when we used to pay and we had alib straw! Now we have to pay for individual bales ontop of the stable, no school, as they have ruined it and let the membrane comeup etc, we now have to hire the arena warm up for £5 per half hour...I am going soon... have stabled booked not BLOCKED with water! Wouldnt want people to think they have all that when they dont! BTW this wasnt about how I treat them on a link but how they treat livieries...My stable wall has come down twice in the last 6 months of being back there this year..they dont care...they seem to make enoigh money from the shows! I WOULDNT reccomend that people move there!
and they no longer offer full livery!! I have had to get in external!!

do you knolw me then or the yard? PM as I shoukldnt say who it is until I have left!! Do feel I wouldnt trust a toenail clipping in their care!! I have redfused to pay my bill to all is fixed and got a load of jip!! I feel bad because a relative is a friend of mine and tries to do wonders!!

well i did warn you not to move there when you were looking!

Dont judge a book by its cover (or a livery yard by its website!)
