would you buy a horse that has had navicular

No.
1) Your essentially buying someone else's vetbills with the addition of your heartbreak at the end.
2) For what I want from a horse I doubt one with Navicular could withstand the workload.

Nope.

Navicular is not curable, only treatable, but for how long will horse stand up to the work you require is the million dollar question!

No.

There is enough potential problems when owning a horse without buying them to start with.

You may save on the purchase price, but you'll make up for it in vet bills and with the farrier, I just couldn't do with the added stress or expence but that's my personal view if I was buying.

My auntie's horse had it and with the correct care and right work load he was ridden for many many years, in fact he was ridden to grand old age so it's not all bad but why buy a horse with it because it's a cheaper purchase price, just doesn't make sense.
